But how 'strong' can integrated audio really be?? lol their ALL just AC97. So yeah, anyway the numbering scheme isn't necisarily in order, the 8xx series is just an 8 channel design, the 6xx series only does 6 channels but there's really no difference. 1- you only got 3 channels and 2- it's all mud anyway xD.

I also found out that changing from Realtek HD Audio 2.67 drivers to 2.66 increases noticeably the audio volume. Combined with "loudness equalization" setting, now the audio is almost as high as it was with my VIA audio chipset of my previous board. With speakers it's OK, but with headphones a bit more would be nice. Still, it's enough.
