Not being an audio-guy, I *assumed* that since my Soundblaster card has an optical out, it could send the 7.1 to the receiver over one cable (the TOSLINK). Unfortunately, I can't get it to work past 5.1 even though I have Dolby Digital Live encoding selected on my Soundblaster's control panel.
