Sample Rates 44100 vs 48000? - Technical Reference ...

Now I thought the minimum one should record audio is at 48,000 khz. Thought this was. industry standard? With it being recorded at 44,100, is that bad? How big of a quality difference are we looking at vs 48,000? Does the fact that it was recorded at 32bit, make the 44,100 superior to a 48,000 recorded at 16 or 24 bits? Thank you

48,000 Hz audio CDs

48,000 Hz audio CDs. If the source file is a CD, then 48 kHz is of course resampled. However CDs aren't the only sources out there. Just about every source except for CD is 48 khz or a multiple of that (96kHz). DVDs, DATs, and nearly every computer sound card is at 48 kHz.

44.1kHz vs 48kHz Audio – Which Is Better? | Pro Tools ...

Last Thoughts on 44.1 kHz Versus 48 kHz Audio. In the end, 44.1 kHz, 88.2 kHz, and 176.4 kHz sample rates remain the preferred options for studio recording when outputting to a CD. However, if your audio is to be used in a video or delivered on a digital format, 48 kHz and its derivatives may provide the better option.

24 Bits 48000Hz VS 192000Hz, Which one should I use to ...

But I use toslink output, not the internal DAC. Internally, the software will accept 32 bit audio, but almost no games or content uses it. My toslink equipment doesn't really like 96 kHz half the time. Resampling audio to a higher rate is better when converting non-integer multiples...

44100 is more than your ear needs. 48000 is just a nice round number. >> um. no. Actually, 48,000 isn't even enough, you need at least 96,000 to really start modeling analog quality and warmth. Time to get rid of your speakers. Most …

windows - C++ Upsampling raw audio from 22050 to …

    https://stackoverflow.com/questions/16382318/c-upsampling-raw-audio-from-22050-to-48000-hz
The audio data is 22050 kHz mono. Does anybody have any idea how I can (without any third party library) quickly convert the short vector to 48000 Hz mono? I know it will not improve the sound. This is only for passing the audio data to an effect (which sounds better with higher sample rate). Thank you for the help.
