Hi chartonj, the problem is definitely on your TV LG 42PC55. Practice your TV needs 2 updates: 1- Firmware 5.3.00 (the last one available); 2- Update of HDMI ports. Unfortunately these are updates that must be made by an LG Service Center because it takes a programming tool called JTag.
